Water...... Shapeless, free flowing....The key ingredient to everything that ever was or will be. Without water there is....no life! The gardener relies on water to reach the seeds he has sewn, just as he relies on water to be in his glass after a hard day of tilling earth. The sun, desperately thirsting for water, uses all its might to take water from the earth, only to have its plot foiled by the clouds who collect the water and return it to its throne where it rules over all existence, free flowing. In some cases dripping, in others, cascading, but always nourishing, providing, replenishing, growing!!!
Soul........Shapeless, free flowing. Soul is personified in the conviction of the message, the execution of an effortless cool, the manifestation of ideas into ideals becoming a way of life. Music, art, literature, can all be products of a creator serving as a vessel for soul to travel through, harnessing the power of soul, and conveying it never forcefully, but honestly. Soul is as much of Marvin recording "I Want You" while lying down, as it is Crazy Legs back spinning on cardboard. It is as much a group of little known French artists introducing the world to Impressionism, as it is a group of little known writers introducing the world to Harlem. Soul is confidence, meticulous discipline, attention to detail. Soul is pure!
In this case, water is to life, as to what soul is to the art! A lifeblood that flows through the veins giving off an energy, translated through sound oozing out of the speaker and into the listeners ear. Dont be afraid to get to get lost in this world the maestro has created. A planet if you will, a rather digable one at that. No need to "check your time piece" while listening to "those rhythms".......For it those rhythms that have been created to accompany you on this sonic hajj if you will.....This sonic hajj to......To the sound of Mecca!
